School Store

Starting on November 10th, the Taylor School Store will open for business every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:40am-8:55am.

We have pens, pencils, keychains, stickers, seasonal items, & more! Items are generally priced from 25 cents to $2 — cash only!

Get Excited: Fall 2026 Taylor Read-A-Thon is Coming Soon!

Attention Tigers: Grab your favorite books and get ready!

Our third annual Taylor Tigers Read-A-Thon will kick off on Monday November 16 and end on November 22. During this week, Tigers are encouraged to read, read, read and will work with their parents to log their minutes of reading. We’ll have goals, prizes, community events, and more!

Keep an eye out for more details soon, and get excited to cheer on our reading Tigers!

Plastic Bag Recycling Discontinued

Starting 10/26, we will no longer be accepting plastic bags for recycling at Taylor and the collection bins in the lobby will be removed.

We still encourage all families to continue to recycle their plastics and local grocery stores offer similar plastic bins in the front of the store. Please take all plastic bag collections to the store directly for recycling. Safeway, Giant, Harris Teeter and Sprouts all offer this service. 

  • Many Arlington families, including Taylor students and their families, are impacted with high grocery prices, and other ongoing financial constraints. Local food pantries, Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) and Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB), are experiencing record need at their pantries, with over 4,200 Arlington residents receiving free groceries from AFAC every week, a number expected to surpass 5,000 in the coming weeks. Below are a list of resources and information that may help families navigate these challenging times. Families needing referrals can reach out to Zamir Bridgman, Taylor's school social worker. 

    If you find yourself in a position to help others as we enter this season of giving, there are also options listed at the end for ways to help ensure our neighbors in need have dignified access to nutritious food.
